Thai Me.: students of entertainment

it should be said that some of my thai girls that I teach are endlessly entertaining. in class today I actually found myself laughing so hard I had a hard time continuing to speak. I was kind of punchy anyway from being on some (very high) doses of medicine due to a cold, and then this kid Plang, a 7th grader who sits in the back of my afternoon class, makes the BEST faces. she literally looks like a cartoon. I glance at her and can't even control myself from laughiing. Also, we were playing MASH, something i decided to do almost entirely for my own entertainment, but the kids dug it. In one of my 8th grade classes, I made them pick out 4 illnesses they could potentially have (yeah, thats messed up, but they were learning diseases as vocab last week). so they shouted out "flu", and "sneeze", and "sore throat", and then I waited for the last one and some girl shouts "HIV!" I wanted to die. I told them no way, and waited for another word, and I hear one kid say a little more quietly, as if unsure of themselves, "syphilis?" GOOD GOD.
