new years on the island of koh phi phi was something else. and by that I mean, it was really mothereffing beautiful. but it spurred some conversation about what exactly the color of the water was. royal blue? cyan (and how do you pronounce that, anyway)? cerulean? teal? aquamarine?
well, don't worry about it, because I read my Thailand guidebook after coming back (yeah. doing shit backwards is cool) and they actually told me the color of the water is cerulean.
doesn't really matter though, it looked so damn good we could've called it poopoocaca and nothing would've changed.
in case it seems like there was too much appreciation of nature going on.... here's proof that we drank excessively out of buckets and painted our bodies and did the nightswim at midnight.
