super special buffaloes

is it cool if I do another blog post about things that are weird and simultaneously awesome in Thailand?

okay cool.

first of all, I just need to share the fact that I bought a winter coat. despite the fact that there's only one temperature here (brutally hot), you can indeed buy coats, scarves, and various other wintry items to your heart's desire. When I bought it though, I FELT SO WEIRD. I was like what is this huge, heavy, wooly piece of clothing covering me up from neck to wrist.

What's great about this though is the fact that I have a reason to buy a coat! I'll be doing the waka waka dance in my thai coat all the way around the world in a few weeks (more on that later..) and I cannot effing wait.

I've been living in Suphan now for 10 and a half months and I'm pretty sure I've seen most of the things to see in the immediate area. So I couldn't tell you why it took me this long to get to the Buffalo Village. Yeah, right?? It sounds pretty much like the best thing a tourist could get to in Suphan. and this past weekend, Ally's boyfriend Dton was kind enough to drive us over there and finally get our visit in. Wait, let me clarify. It was a Monday that we all had off school for some reason, not the actual weekend. Which means that when we showed up at buffalo-land in mid-afternoon, the place was utterly deserted. So the 3 of us paid the lone worker at the entrance and walked around the strange little park until we came upon some buffaloes. It was the most hilarious experience I've ever had with buffaloes (cause obviously i've had many). These buffaloes were messed up! some were freaking albino, first of all, one had a gimpy third leg coming out of his stomach, and the winner was a shrunken retarded looking buffalo whose jaw was janky and made his bottom teeth stick out over his mouth. see for yourself:

hahahahahah.

so anyway, add this weird buffalo village to the reasons why Suphan is awesome.

in People news:
  •  Nicki's sister is visiting and came to school with Nicki on wednesday. She was surrounded by thai girls all day, and she has naturally red hair. Nuff said.
  • Banyaa's coffee shop is open once again! cha-yo!
  • Ally and I are singing the thai national anthem at the morning assembly next week. In thai.
  • Ed Carabao (old famous thai musician) is coming to play a show in Suphan this weekend, at the newly-renovated bar down the road. Whiskey and thai rock = recipe for a good weekend.
  • Miew had her baby. We haven't seen it yet.
  • Speaking of babies, Pirate Hooker has grown teeth. also a sassiness I don't particularly care for.

... there's just a little over 2 weeks left of my time in Thailand. It's trippy.
